April Playlist

Like my general state of being, my taste in music is all over the place. I don’t write off any genre; I can go from anti-pop to folk to classical real quick. The fun part about being all over the place is that I get to put all these different genres together and create a story through music. This is something I do when I create dance pieces and is a huge inspiration in my choreography.

This is the first playlist that I’m sharing with other people… usually, my playlists consist of “clean TikTok songs for kids” or “ballet class.” Even so, music has always been a huge part of my life. I love creating stories that can be universally understood and music is another way I can share them with you all… good stuff, good stuff.

This playlist consists of many genres and if that turns you off, all the more reason to give it a listen from top to bottom. When I share playlists, I’ll be putting them in a specific order for a specific reason. April Showers in Quarantine is nostalgic, sad, angry, and uplifting all at the same time. This is definitely a good listen if you’re like me in the way that when you’re in your feels you like to reallyyyy experience those feels in order to let them go. These songs are all sad in their own way, but at the same time so much more. The world is hurting right now and this might be what it sounds like.

Go to your Spotify settings, scroll down and click “advanced settings.” Under playback, choose the option to crossfade your songs by a few seconds. You’re welcome.
